Some chasing scenes are being shot in the narrow lanes of Ooty for the Nagarjuna-Trisha starrer, ‘King’, produced by D Sivaprasada Reddy on the banner of Kamakshi Kala Movies under the direction of Sreenu Vaitla. After the completion of these chasing scenes, a song is also planned to be choreographed in the beautiful locales of Ooty. The producer and director are committed to complete the shooting part of the film by the end of October, so that the post-production works could be completed in November to enable the film’s release on December 18. The producer is also chalking out plans to launch the audio on November 18. Devisri Prasad scored tunes for the movie. Mamata Mohan Das is playing a key role in the movie, while Madhusalini is shaking her legs for an item song. Another speciality of the film is that Srihari is playing an important role.
Asha Saini Back in new Film
Asha shani, the glamor doll who was introduced by EVV Satyanarayanathrough his movie CHALA BAAGUNDI has grabbed some offers initially, but later disappeared. With all sorts of skin show with Vadde Naveen in Chala Bagundi and in later movies like Michel Madana Kamaraju with Suneel, Puri's movie 143 she seemed to be in limelight. With Pass Port scam coming into fore, she has been arrested and her career looked to be in doldrums.
But this short lady with well statured body is now again trying to make her strong foot in Tollywood. She is right now working in DR. Paramanandayya's Student Gang which is being Directed by Raavi Palli Ram Babu and Produced by G. Srinivas reddy on SRI Venkateswara Film Empire. DR. POLICHERLA HARI NATH, an NRI Doctor who failed miserably with his movies like CHANDRA HAAS and ALEX is again trying his hand with this comedy entertainer.

Suresh Gopi to do straight Telugu film
Popular Malayam hero Suresh Gopi, who is known for police officer roles, is well acquainted with the Telugu audiences with dubbing films, is going to play in a straight Telugu film very soon. The film would be produced by Krishna, who used to distribute the Telugu films abroad and is known as Tolly to Holly distributor. The film would be a lady-oriented movie and Bhoomika is being roped in as heroine. According to reliable information, the film would be formally launched on Vijayadasami with puja activities. The regular shooting would begin a little later.
Nithin’s ‘Drona’ shoots the climax
Nithin is playing the hero, while Priyamani is playing the heroine in a film under the direction of Kumar, a protégé of SS Rajamouli, produced by DS Rao, is presently shooting the climax scenes. ‘Drona’ is the title confirmed for the movie. Producer says, ‘The film is coming out in a different way in Nithin’s career and our hero would appear with a different look and style in this flick. Kumar, who worked as an associate for ‘Sye’, is bringing out the movie better than ‘Sye’ and we are sure that it would be a big hit.’ Nithin says, ‘I am very happy to work with Priyamani, who bagged an award at national level, as a first-ever combination’. The film would be released after the release of Nithin’s another flick ‘Hero’. Most possibly the film would hit the screen as a Diwali gift.
Swathi Growing Up
Swathi earned a fabulous name by anchoring ‘Colours’ programme in MAA TV. She made her debut into the films through ‘Danger’ and her role in ‘Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule’ earned her some more recognition. She gave a nice performance in that movie attracting the attention of the top film personalities. Besides acting, she lent her voice to Ileana in ‘Jalsa’. Besides Telugu, she started acting in Tamil language films. Her recent Tamil film Subrahmanyapuram was proved a big hit and she went one step ahead. Above all, she played the heroine in ‘Ashta Chemma’ and it was also proved a silent hit. The successive hits made this bubbly girl more busy with films and she reportedly hiked her remuneration in view of her demand.Ram new Filme in 2009
Ram Gopal Varma, who started his career as director through ‘Siva’, had a quarrel with the Censor Board over his film ‘Govinda Govinda…’. The incident made him to quit the Tollywood and settle in Bollywood. He proved a successful director there also and created a history. However, he could not detach himself with the Tollywood and ensured the release of all his movies in the state too. Besides, he produced some Telugu films and continued to remain busy. Very recently he produced a film ‘Raksha’ and achieve a success.
Now, Ram Gopal Varma is planning to produce yet another Telugu film called ‘Raktha Charitra’ on the same banner on which he produced ‘Raksha’. It is learnt that the film is based on the history of Paritala Ravi. The film would have all new faces in the cast, while two directors — Dharma and Raksha are going to direct the film jointly. Ram Gopal Varma further told the media that he is likely to direct a straight Telugu film in 2009.
Udaykiran in Nithin Filme
Udaykiran appears in Nithin Filme, Udaykiran who made his debut as hero through ‘Chitram’, later bagged successes like ‘Nuvvu Nenu and Manasanta Nuvve’. However, he could not get a hit worth the name after these films. His latest release ‘Gunde Jhallumandi’ also ran like an average flick. When a film journalist questioned him during a media briefing whether he was ready to make guest appearances, he says, ‘Earlier, I agreed to play guest role in some films. I don’t know they did not appear on the screen. I am not responsible for their deletion. Even now I am ready to make a guest appearance in any film if the character is good in a nice film. Ultimately, bagging a hit is necessary for any one in the industry.
Chinthakala Ravi in theats on 2Oct
Venkatesh’s Chintakayala Ravi has further been postponed to October 2nd from October 1st, according to our sources. In the last minute, the date is changed.Chintakayala Ravi is the only big film hitting the screens in this festival season. So it is sure to take unprecedented openings in Venky’s career. The only dampening aspect is that the ticket rates have come down to half.
Actually, producer Bujji was toying with the idea of releasing it on October 9th hoping that Government might change its decision on the ticket rates. But Chief Minister YSR has stuck to his policy. Hence Bujji left with no choice. Even if it takes B.O by the storm, it is unlikely to break any records.
